The National Trust and Scouting have come together to organise a Kite Flying competition for all the youth sections of Scouting at Dunstable Downs in June 2013.
From 10.30 am to 3 pm on 22 June 2013, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Network members from across Bedfordshire are welcome at Dunstable Downs to fly their kites. There will be prizes for the best design and the best flying kites in each section.
“Will your kite be the most beautiful? Will it be the most exciting? The biggest?”—asks Graeme Watt, Bedford District Commissioner.
There is no charge for the event, except for Parking which is £2 for the day (National Trust members get it free).
Further information
Scout Leaders who want to take their section are asked to contact Rose Roberts, the Community Ranger on 01582 872662 or Rose.Roberts@nationaltrust.org.uk with details of their group, section, and number attending.
