Duchess of Cambridge volunteers with Scouting – can you?

HRH The Duchess of Cambridge is one of thousands of The Scout Association‘s occasional helpers, who volunteer for us on a flexible basis.

On a snowy March day in Cumbria she attended a training event at Great Tower Scout Activity Centre with fellow volunteers. Here she took part in activities like fire lighting and taught Scouting skills to excited Cub Scouts. As she and all the other event attendees so ably demonstrate; volunteering with us is easy, fun and flexible. Whether you help out once a fortnight, month or term or just at events, there is a role for you: find out more at scouts.org.uk.

Irish, formerly known as Michael, a student with The Open University, living in Dublin with his husband Andrew and their three cats. Also interested in first aid, heraldry, Scouting, and occasionally to be found at the organ or in a bell tower.
